The latest edition of Waterbirds in the UK, covering 2011/12, and a new online report have been launched today by the WeBS partnership.
Waterbirds in the UK provides an annual synthesis of the counts collected through the Wetland Bird Survey, as well as additional information from a variety of other waterbird monitoring schemes and surveys, including the Goose & Swan Monitoring Programme. The latest edition, covering 2011/12, is now available from the WeBS website, and includes an article on the worrying trend of Pochard by WWT’s Kane Brides.
This new look report is now complimented by an online report that provides access to the whole WeBS database. It can be searched on a species or site basis, allowing users to generate their own bespoke tables of peak counts. This fantastic new resource can be found here.
